Good deal

Yeah, it's loud, and it takes a while to get it going. Cuts clean, true angles. Good price for a quality product.

Miter for low speed steel blades

I was looking for a saw with a low speed option (3200 RPM). Ferrous metal blades can't be used at high speed. Most miter saws are only 5000-6000rpm. The dual speed switch is a major feature of this saw!! With a Diablo ferrous metal blade I'm getting great cuts w steel. The metal blade that comes w this unit is not suitable for thicker steel 14awg plus, burned up in 2 cuts. Not unexpected. Great saw I'm thrilled. BTW - the arbor on this saw is 30mm. To use w Diablo and other blades a 25mm arbor adapter is needed. would suggest they add that to the product and drop the metal blade.

Its a good tool backed by good people. - Had an issue, they made it right!!!

Updated review: - I purchased the saw and had an issue with the upper fence being frail and bending after a miter cut kick back. The Company reached out to me and offered to give me the parts to fix the saw which I did not expect. I was impressed with the company caring enough to try and make the saw whole again.

Its a big saw, but after configuring and zeroing everything as the manual instructs, its been a pretty nice saw. The customer service experience has convinced me to change my review to a positive one. They did right by me and I find that type of commitment to customers refreshing. Its a good tool backed by good people.

Great Miter Saw!

This saw seems to be made of quality parts and feels solid. There are locks and adjustments all over this unit. It has multi directional cut ability with little effort. Two spare blades come with it as well. The laser helps align your cut removing dry runs. The cost/benefit is great. I am quite happy with this saw!

DOVAMAN 10-Inch Sliding Miter Saw. Good compact saw.

DOVAMAN 10-Inch Sliding Miter Saw. Good compact saw.
I have only spent about a half hour with the saw so far setting it up but it does do the job. Did a few cuts on some thin plywood that I needed cut down to size. The saw performed as it should and I will say the LED guide light for cutting is nice and bright and also straight. Stops on the positive stops good and locks in place. Easy to setup and use if you have any experience with this type of saw. The dust bag is not great and did not catch much of the sawdust. Beyond that not a bad 10 inch saw and is quite portable.

Much better than my miter saw

I really like that this saw has two speeds so I can slow it down for different material. My old saw did not slide. This is now a must have for me. You can adjust this saw to just about any angle. This will be great for my weekend projects. I mounted it to a table I had which worked well but there are some minor adjustments needed such as the screws on the bottom of the table extenders. These rub on the table and don't seem to screw in so you either need to put some washers under the saw or find another way to make the adjustment. The adjustment knobs are all plastic but they all seem to work fine. I like that you get a couple of different blades and an extra set of brushes for the motor as well. This will be a great saw for the several projects I have around the house.

DOVAMAN 10-Inch Sliding Miter Saw

This DOVAMAN 10in saw is fantastic!
This saw arrives nicely packaged in a large branded cardboard box with the foam encased in styrofoam.
The saw also arrives in a plastic bag with all of the accessories inside too. It comes with the clamp, two extra blades, instructions, a warranty card, two replacement brushes for the motor, two hex wrenches, and a screw on carry handle which goes onto the top of it. I don't know why the handle doesn't arrive already screwed on but at least it's there.
Starting with the instructions, there is an overall couple of pages with some pictures showing each part of the saw and the table of contents as you see in my pictures. The instructions aren't the absolute best and do have spelling mistakes and odd grammar inside but it does the job.
The saw itself is awesome though. It comes zip tied down and secured in place with a 10in wood blade already installed on it. In the two boxes they also give you another 40 tooth wood blade and a more all purpose 48 tooth blade used for steel/aluminum/wood/plastic that is rated to cut steel of less than or equal to 3mm thick.
Right now I have only tested this on wood and it definitely chops through quickly. I was using this to make some speaker boxes and cut them to size with MDF and it did the job as I was expecting. The sliding of this saw, as well as the ability to set angles + have a laser guide all at the same time is a great thing.
There are two speed settings which is the orange switch on top of the handle + the black button which is the laser guide. It doesn't seem to match the switch they show in their promo pictures and videos anymore. Then the grip is the way to turn it on and get it going.
There is a grip at the end of the track as well that you basically just squeeze, turn the saw left or right, and then lock it back into place for it to just easily hold the angle for bevel cutting too.
On each side of the saw there are two pieces that can be loosened to widen your surface or as they say it has "extendable table size".

Overall, this is a fantastic saw to handle the jobs I am doing and more if I get around to metals and plastics. It has a ton of features and more than I explained in my paragraphs. Being able to cut at an angle while cutting an angle + a laser guide is an awesome thing for sure, lol. Changing the blades on this is about as simple as any other saw. It cuts through wood very nicely and while it doesn't collect all of the dust, it does collect some so it's not like I'm stuck in a full cloud.

Really Good Saw!

Really good miter saw! It works exactly as it should with no quirks. Lots of power with extra blades, the slide feature is great for cutting angles. It can cut wood, pvc, and soft metal! This thing works great! Awesome find! Would make a great gift!

Great low budget saw

This 10 inch miter saw is a lite weight model, but that doesn't effect it's accuracy. It came out of the box cutting true 90 degree angles requiring no fine tuning.

Pros
* All sliding part slide well.
* All predetermined cut angles on the rotating table are very accurate.
* Extension wings on both sides of the base extend 2.5 inches
* Extension wings have flip up stops.
* Laser shows where the blade will cut not where edge of blade is.

Cons
* Adjustment knobs have cheap plastic caps.
* Scales are in Centimeters
* The miter angle indicator scale is raised but painted the same color as the background.

Overall I would not put this miter saw in a cabinet shop, but I feel it is a great little saw for the occasional woodworker/handyman. It will perform accurate cuts at an very reasonable price. What more can you ask for?

It Cuts Metal Too

I am really stoked to use this saw on a major furniture project. I build metal legs and bases for wood furniture. Being able to make nice 45 degree cuts on square metal tubing is awesome.

The images and short video is just a demo, but this is a good saw for the money. The saw itself is lighter than I expected a sliding miter to be. I have a larger 12" sliding miter that is a beast and not easily transportable. I guess that could be seen as a plus for the ease of transporting this saw.

One switch on top activates the laser which was very accurate to the blade cut. There is also another switch that changes the speed of the saw slowing the RPMs to accept metal cuts, ferrous and non-ferrous.

The sliding miter is smooth back and fourth as well as rotation of the main base. Currently these are all very smooth but it does concern me that small metal particles may migrate into these cracks and ruin the rotating and sliding features. With that said, there has been no issue with at least 10 metal cuts so far.

I used the stock blades for wood and metal that are supplied and they worked fine. I do plan on purchasing the Diablo metal blade based on its positive reviews.

I tested all the angled cuts and the saw came out of the box accurate to within 1/2 degree on the miter cuts and 1 degree on the bevel cuts. Pretty impressive for out of the box.

The 1 star minus is just due to build quality. If it could be a half star I would have chosen that. It is built well, but it is very light weight and there are a few milling marks and roughly tapped screw holes. Its nothing major.

Now, If I was purchasing 1 saw that can cut metal/wood I'd consider this saw. I build a lot of metal legs for tables and then put wood tops on these table legs. This saw is perfect for the homeowner who does home repairs and occasional metal cuts like myself.

Nice features

I have been wanting a a miter saw with a laser for awhile now... No real complaints here.

The saw is typical quality for the price point.
Notable features:
- Two speeds
- Built-in laser and it does not need batteries
- Easily accessible laser on/off switch
- Three blades included: Soft metal blade and two wood for wood.
- Angle stops are solid and accurate
- Simple lever to change angle (Nothing to loosen like my previous saw.)
- Table Extension wings (Just too bad they don't extend longer.)

Two small complaints:
1. The extension wigs could easily be made to extend much father than a couple of inches
2. The laser beam is slightly off center of the saw blade. Not yet sure if it can be adjusted.

4 Stars from me

Same saw cheaper under different brands

It seems that this same saw is being marketed by different companies and sold on AMAZON under different names.
