This mower does a good job on small, flat lawns. The blade cuts evenly and the grass bag fills well without leaving much mess behind. The height adjustment is simple to use, and the way it folds up makes it easy to store.

It does feel a bit cheaply made, but for mostly flat grassy areas it should be fine. The biggest hassle is dealing with the cord while mowing, but once you get used to it, it’s manageable.

As someone who needed a quick and easy solution to tackle a yard where the grass had died and weeds had taken over, this 16-inch electric lawn mower has been an absolute delight. From the moment it arrived, the assembly was incredibly straightforward – I had it together in no time, which is always a huge plus.

Once assembled, I plugged it in (no battery and you'll definitely want a heavy-duty outdoor long extension cord for optimal performance and safety). The mower started quickly and ran smoothly. I was genuinely impressed by how speedily it cut down the dense weeds that had taken over my lawn. It truly handled the overgrowth effortlessly.

What I love most about this mower is its incredible ease of use and quite durable. It's surprisingly lightweight and maneuvers beautifully around obstacles, making the whole mowing process far less strenuous than I anticipated. Plus, it's remarkably quiet compared to gas mowers, which is a huge bonus for early morning or late evening mowing without disturbing the neighbors.

The 2-in-1 mulching and bagging feature is super convenient, and it collects grass and weed clippings with impressive efficiency. The single-lever height adjustment is also convenient, allowing for quick changes to suit different grass lengths. It's a fantastic value and has made my yard work significantly more enjoyable. At first glance when opening the box, I wasn’t impressed only because most of this LA16M mower is plastic. Having never had an electric mower before, I just didn’t know what to expect. Only took about 15 minutes from unpacking to mowing and after just a few sweeps I was a fan. Not only did it easily cut our small Zoysia lawn that was past due, but it did a great job of collecting the clippings. We have zero turn mowers and gas powered push mowers that we use on our small farm, and in the past have used these to cut this small lawn area. I’ve found that it has transferred weeds from those other areas to the lawn, so I’m glad to have this electric mower as the designated mower just for the Zoysia. I think each type of mower functions best in different scenarios – this electric one is great for small more manicured lawns. We’ve only recently become familiar with this brand. This is now our third purchase from Dovaman and we have been impressed with the quality of each one – Impact Driver and Cut Out Tool.

Made quick work of unboxing the Dovaman LA16M electric lawn mower - took my time reviewing the enclosed instructions (clearly defined illustrations) and had the quick-fold handle attached properly to the mower with the four orange screw latches and had everything snapped together in about twelve-minutes!

And once I connected the 50-foot power cable, plugged in, pushed in the safety button and started the 13-amp motor and the 16-inch steel blade spun up to 3,500 rpm - I able to clean up my small front yard in about fifteen- minutes! The single central lever clicks confidently through five heights (roughly 1″–3″); each setting really does stand true, so I can pop from a tight trim to a shag-saving cut mid-pass. When I’m done, those four bright orange quick-release knobs let the handle fold flat for vertical parking—perfect for my narrow shed.

Only stumble? The 13-gallon rear bag takes a little wrestling to align and latch; after a couple of attempts I got the hang of “tilt-in then press-down,” but it’s the one step that isn’t intuitive. The noise is more hair-dryer but much quieter than a gas-powered mower, and the 29-lb weight makes it easy to push, and the mulching plug leaves a fine clipping mist when I skip the bag. If you want cord-reliable power in a compact, thoughtfully designed package—and can forgive a fussy grass bag—the LA16M is a winner.

Generally found it works well and cuts nicely. An improvement would be a place to store the electric cord wen not being used. I really wanted a 19'' mower, but with tis based on price. I would ave bought your 19" battery model if it came in cord type.

Smaller sized mower. Was expecting a battery, I guess I missed the part about the extention cord. Doesn't really matter for a small area anyways. It cuts well but again the bag is small. Perfect for an older person in a mobile home park. Easy to use. Not too many pieces to put together as it was halfway assembled. Lightweight and easy to get around corners. Was also pretty quiet for a mower.

Useful mower for smaller lawns that don't have a lot of rough terrain or steep grades. As with their dethatcher, I used this mower precisely ONCE before the west coast drought hit and the grass stalled out. Overall this is an affordable and compact mower that will work fine if the ground is right.

The construction on the exterior is largely plastic, but it is nice plastic that has been injection molded carefully. The main control arms are reasonably sturdy and they give you decent leverage on the mower. The mechanism to raise the height works fine, and the bag detaches easily. I'd say it has enough power for regular cuts, but I don't think it would do really well on very long grass.

For small spaces, this is a great mower. I don't know how it would work with having to find a long cord for larger yards, but for small areas, it's perfect. It cuts beautifully and I love not having to mess with gas cans. Assembly was quick and easy!

I ordered this to try as it uses electric instead of gas. It does a good job at cutting. Very easy set up. Very lightweight. This is the perfect size for smaller yards.

Upon unboxing and assembly, I found that this mower, being mostly plastic, has a 'cheap', almost toy-like look and feel. However, once assembled, the frame is sturdy, and the electric motor is surprisingly powerful. The cut is a tad narrow at 16", but it does the job and does it well. It comes complete with a hard-plastic catcher that is easy enough to empty, and the handle folds away easily for stowage in minimal space. A great buy for the money if you're looking for an electric mower. (NOTE: This is NOT cordless. It has a 'pigtail' cord but you will need an extension cord long enough for your yard.)

I have always used gas powered mowers but they are loud, smelly, always need repairs and gas is expensive. This electric mower makes all that go away. It was easy to assemble and even easier to use. It is adjustable from about 1-3". It isn't the most powerful mower so don't expect to cut down tall weeds but if you keep up with the grass growing it handles it just fine. Having a cord long enough and lugging it around the yard is a bit of a hassle but not having to keep batteries charged or having to fill it up with gas is worth it.

I have several things from this company that I have reviewed, I can't think of a single one that I have written a bad review on. If it's junk, ill tell you. This isn't.

I use this before I get on my zero turn to mow around the house/retaining wall. That way I don't have to slow down, it's already good.

This is pretty light but powerful. The height adjustment holds well and is easy to adjust. Bag is decent size so you aren't emptying it every 5 minutes. It really just works and works well.

This 16-inch corded mower surprised me with how tough it actually is. The steel blade feels solid, and the 13 amp motor powers through most of the lawn with ease. I even tested it on slightly damp grass and it didn’t choke once. The single-lever height adjustment is a nice touch—simple to use and saves so much time fiddling with wheels.

The grass bag fills almost completely, and the indicator is helpful. It does a great job collecting clippings without leaving a mess behind. The foldable handle is super convenient and fits neatly against the wall in my shed, which is perfect for my limited storage space.

The only downside is the cord—you’ve got to stay mindful of where it’s dragging. But if you’re okay with that, this mower is the one for you. Clean cuts, easy handling, and really well made. Great for small to mid-sized yards.

Nice mower however it was electric which I didn’t realize

When I ordered this DOVAMAN Electric Lawnmower I was thinking more along the lines of a Rechargeable Battery type. I wasn't expecting I'd need to buy an extension cord that needs to be plugged in during use. Either way, it gets the job done, just need to be extra careful to keep the cord above the Mower during use. This Mower is best suited for smaller yards, unless you happen to have electrical outlets scattered throughout. Both the cut height and Handle height are easily adjustable, and the Mulch Bag is very convenient for composting.

Great for small areas with grass like condo/townhome yards or houses with small backyards or just small grassy areas.  Quick shipping and easy to follow assembly instructions.  Easy to assemble and get up and running quickly.  Love that it runs on electricity and not on gas.  No fumes, no mess.  Lightweight.  Excellent cutting quality and easily catches the mowed pieces and catches them neatly in the bag.  The bag is strong and made very well to avoid any dust or debris coming out while mowing.  High quality machine in my opinion.  User friendly.  Great value.  I highly recommend.

Surprisingly powerful for a compact model! Easy to adjust height, and it folds up for minimal storage space. Great cut and efficient bagging system.

Comes fully assembled just have to position and tighten the handle. Very powerful and cuts 6 inch tall grass without any issues. Easy to use/understand. Not very loud and overall, very impressed!

This lawn mower is great and gets the job done. It was really easy to put together and feels nice and sturdy. I have never used an electric mower before, but it was simple to get used to. An unexpected plus was getting it started with a button. I have an arm injury that always makes it tough to pull the string on standard lawnmowers, so this saves me unnecessary pain and discomfort. The mower is lightweight, and it is smooth to maneuver.

Storage is a cinch too. Being lightweight, you can easily fold the handlebar and store away the mower.

Easy to setup. Cuts really nice. We got this as a backup mower. I personally don't like cords but will use them in a pinch. Super lightweight. Cuts 5-6 inch grass just fine. Probably would get through slightly heavier grass as well. Overall not a bad mower especially if you have a very small yard. Not too loud but not whisper quiet.

Easy to use and easy to mowing and work great, nice clean and great design and great quality materials, reasonable price, great mowing machine for the yard.

There are a lot of things I like about this lawnmower.
The power is decent and it does a good job cutting as long as you keep the blade sharp, as with any mower.
The weight is not too bad. It can be used by the weak and the young without too much effort.
It adjusts well with the height.
The bad is a decent size and is easy to put on and take off.
I just feel like I"m playing with a kid's toy with the quality of a lot of the parts, especially the wheels.
There are too many plastic parts for my liking. I just don't know how long they will last.
BUT, the foldability of this mower is Top Notch! I love love LOVE being able to fold it down to a nice small size to store it. That is so great if you're someone who has a smaller space available.
I'm happy enough with it and hope it lasts.
