Good power but use care with included sockets

I like the power of this cordless impact wrench as it has no problem breaking lug nuts loose. It charges reasonably fast and I had no issue with it running low on juice during a brake job. It comes with a carrying bag and it has a belt hook which you could also use to hang it on a tool bench. It comes with 5 sockets but it should be noted that per the instructions, it should only be operated with impact sockets which are made from chrome molybdenum steel which is softer and won't shatter under impact stresses but the 5 sockets included are clearly marked chrome vanadium and have a black coating, not chrome molybdenum which also has a black coating. That being said, it gets the job done.

good and bad.. check review

When i first got mine, I asked if they sold replacement batteries.. That was a month ago.. At that time, they said no, they did not.. They only sell batteries with the tools.. Someone posted that they do have batteries for sale now, and they do.. They are $50 each.. Comparable in price to OEM dewalt batteries, so not too bad. But if you look, as of right now, if you do order a battery, it can take up to 3 weeks to get them, which tells me that they are either coming from over seas, or it is a product that they are going to be selling, but they just have not been put in stock yet, and you will have to wait until the stuff is in stock to get it. Something to consider, but also why you see conflicting info about spare batteries for it.

They say 550 ft lbs of tightening torque.. I highly doubt that you will be getting that much.. Upon testing, with the low setting, I tightened it down until it stopped spinning, and then let it crank for about 1/2 second after that.. Then I held the button down and did a 1/2 to 1 second crank down after that, just like what I did with an air impact when working in a garage.. I found that it constantly gave a torque of between 82 and 90 ft lbs each time.. Which is about where I want it for my tires.. When I held it down for a length of time, I got about 141 ft lbs of torque.. That was all on the low setting..

When I tested it on the high setting, doing the crank until it stopped freely spinning, and then 1/2 to 1 second torque after that, I got 130 ft lbs.. So my guess would be, if I had held it down on high for an extended length of time, I would probably get 200 to 250 ft lbs to total torque.. About half of what they advertise.. To be fair, i did not try this because I did not want to damage my rims, nor break any lug nuts on my car.. Still, this is plenty for any basic work that most people will be doing.. So I am not complaining..

When i saw that it came with shorter impact sockets, I was kind of worried that they would not fit good on lug nuts with the acorn design.. I was wrong.. As you can see in the one picture, I have 2 of that style sitting there, one with the socket on one of them, and a free one on the side.. As you can see, they go down plenty deep to grip the lug nut, which is good.

The charger charges at 2.4 amps, so it will take approximately 2 hours to fully charge a fully discharged battery.. This is where a good spare comes into account..

I did enough testing to change at least 2 tires on my car, and found that the battery was still reading a full charge on the battery meter, so it will last a good amount of time.. It does not drain fast..

The tool feels very well made and durable.. But not light.. Somewhere between light and heavy when comparing it to other cordless impacts that I have used in the past..

Price I would say is dependent on what you want to compare it to.. Cheaper than Milwaukee or dewalt, but about $50 more than craftsman or rigid, and double the price of off name brand ones.. all of comparable torque ratings and battery sizes..

Final thoughts.. It is a very well made impact from what I have seen so far.. It will work for most peoples needs.. Not as strong as advertised, but still plenty strong enough.. Battery price is decent for a good battery of this size ($50 for 4ah). The impact feels like it would hold up good under professional use.. I like it much better than most of the off name brand ones that I have gotten, and even better than some name brand ones (greenworks for example).. Would I recommend it.. Now that I found that you can get replacement batteries, yes.. Before that, no because 1 battery is just not enough.. as for quality, I have no complaints..

Heavy duty, good performance!

I ordered this so that I didn't have to drag an air hose round to use an impact when needed and I'm not disappointed with this tool. It's about a hundred bucks less than the same Dewalt combo, and if this is a once in a while use tool for you than this Dovaman offering will work for you. I have the same reservations as others about the future availability of batteries, as I too can not seem to find them anywhere! a solid four stars!

This is a Surprising Beast on a Budget - This Impact Wrench Delivers!

I have tried a few less expensive impacts & been underwhelmed to say the least comparing to my Milwaukee branded tools. This one has impressed me the most so far. It has a rugged feel sim lar to my milwaukee.

I do l ke that they give you five sockets right out of the box although I would have rather had an extra battery. The LED light is bright and actually useful, not like those dim afterthought lights you get on cheaper tools normally. The three speed settings and auto-stop in reverse are nice touches that you usually only find on pricier models.

Only nitpicks so far are that the carrying bag feels a bit flimsy, and it's definitely on the chunky side - might be tricky in tight spots. Probably need to pick up an extra battery since the 1.5-hour charge time could be limiting for bigger jobs. When I looked there wasn't an extra battery available yet.

For the money, this thing seems like a solid buy. Will update after I've put it through more abuse, but so far it feels like it'll handle whatever I throw at it. Just don't expect premium brand refinement and you'll be pleasantly surprised for the price point.

Works great

Worked great replacing basically the entire front end of my F150

Surprisingly good.

This is a fairly good impact drill. It's on the high end of ft lbs of torque. The price is around the same price as DeWalt impacts, which I think isn't ok for an unestablished company. I feel like if I'm giving a new brand a chance, it should save me some money. But besides that it does its job as advertised so I can't really complain.

Impressive

I keep this in my car to be used in place of a tire iron, or any time you find yourself needing an impact. It deserves better however since it performs really well and is more powerful than some other 1/2 inch impacts of mine. It could easily be a daily driver. It's just heavy enough and I have not been able to yet fully deplete the battery..

For the home weekend mechanic- perfect.

I try to do as much as I can on my 07 grand caravan. just to keep it going a little longer. this has comes in handy instead of just tightening until it is "feeling" tight.

It works

I rotated the tires on my Jeep and pickup. I swapped out winter tires for summer tires on 2 other cars. It had no troubles with rusted lugs. Unlike me, it still has lots of battery left. The charger light are well defined and easy to read. The battery snaps in and is easy to remove. The battery also has a rubberized bottom cushion. The tool, battery and charger all fit easily in the carry case.

Performance and Value

I was impressed with this cordless impact wrench from the moment I first picked it up. It has the definite feel of quality, plus it works fantastic! It is very strong and easy to use. The price is great and it comes with both a battery and charger, as well as a few common-size sockets, all in a sturdy, zippered bag. Additional batteries are available on Amazon should you want them.

Very good tool! Lots of Torque!

Great Cordless Torque wrench! This thing has some guts! Took my lower control arm nuts right off on my truck. It is heavy for its size, which is a good thing, because it means the internals are metal and not plastic. Battery and charger are good, and the tool comes with impact sockets in common sizes. Definitely a good value and a good addition to any DIY garage.

Feels solid and I think it should work well

This feels like it is built well, I noticed the heft when picking it up. I also noticed that it kicked pretty well in my hand when pulling the trigger. I have a bunch of trucks in my work fleet so I decided to try it out. The provided sockets feel pretty solid too. This didn't have a problem with my vans, Ford Transits. I hit my 2023 F150 after that and this wouldn't budge the jugs. I figured maybe someone got frisky with the impact at the dealership so I tried it on my 2019 Expedition, I know those are torqued correctly and it wouldn't budge those either. I made sure the battery was fully charged and the speed level was all the way up but it was a no go. Like other also said no other batteries look to be available so if you use this you'll have some down time waiting for the battery to charge. I think it could be good, just needs a bit more refinement.
EDIT: Customer service was very quick to reach out and help me. The replacement unit is really solid and I was able to get the lugs off my F150 no problem. I really appreciate them making everything right. I will buy another as a gift for my friend that owns a shop, he used mine and really enjoyed it.

Plenty of power for changing lugnuts all day. Battery stays charged and does the job flawlessly. No issues at all and highly recommend!

Nice impact drill for around the home

I like this impact drill, it has made some of the things around the home so much easier to get done when I need it; I wouldn't run a shop with it, but it is solid enough for use around the home. It doesn't take a ton of battery to really use, and I don't find myself needing to charge my battery all the time while I am using it. It holds nicely in my hand, evenly weighted enough to keep it level when I am using it and it doesn't strain me as I use it.

Impressive name brand performance for a lower price

This impact gun impressed me! With a hobby of restoring cars, I don’t like lugging cords around that trip the dogs and scratch the paint on the cars. My other brand name impact gun was not strong enough to reliably tighten lug nuts without double checking them with the torque wrench. This was underscored by a rear wheel coming off and doing 15k in damage to a custom 67 Camaro. If I had used this gun, it would have never happened. ( if I had followed through and double checked with tourque wrench it would not have happened either 😀) It is 1/2 drive and comes with everything you need. It even has a belt clip if you have a really sturdy belt.
I was able to find battery replacement here on Amazon. Not sure why others are saying there is no option to order a replacement battery. Here is the link https://a.co/d/efmYl9u
I do recommend this tool and wish I had it sooner - it would have saved me a lot of money!

Built like a tank

This thing feels solid, and built to last. I already have a pricey Dewalt impact gun, but i was looking for a cheaper one i can keep in the trunk of my car for emergency flat tire changes. This is exactly what i was looking for. It is rated at 1,000ft-lb breakaway torque, which is way overkill for wheel lug nuts. The included bag is nice, and the 5 sockets that come with this gun will fit most vehicle lugs. My only concern is the single battery that comes with the tool. How long will it last, and are replacements easily acquired?

As shown

Made quick work of switching out my Jeep Gladiator bumper. Much better than struggling with the stiff air hose on a real impact. Tightened the bolts as it should, even on the lowest speed, which seems pretty fast. There are several speed steps on the trigger, but I didn't use them, just pressing it fully each time-probably as that is what I'm used to with the air tool. There is some sort of caution in the directions about using speed control anyway, but it is not really clear if they are talking about the trigger or speed selector, or if they mean the first or the last selection.

The issues are pretty well spelled out by the other reviewers. This should be upgraded with a 2nd battery, compatibility (I have 2 other Chinese devices and the batteries DO NOT match), better manufacturer support, imperial sockets along with the metric, and a lower price. Tool is a 5, other stuff rates a 2 or 3 which severely hampers the price/value ratio of the product.
